- intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly causes bodily injury to another, including the person’s spouse;
- intentionally or knowingly threatens another with imminent bodily injury, including the person’s spouse; or
- intentionally or knowingly causing physical contact with another when the person knows or should reasonably believe that the other will regard the contact as offensive or provocative.

While spitting doesn't fit the first two mentioned, it certainly fits the third one mentioned. So what is the punishment for spitting on someone in Texas? Well, according to CW33, you can find yourself paying a fine, which could reach the amount of $500.

So, in short, don't spit on someone!
