Temple and Waco McDonald’s Unite To Help The Ronald McDonald House in Temple
Small change makes a big impact for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Temple.
Waco/Temple McDonald’s Donates $12,500 to Ronald McDonald House
In a powerful demonstration of community spirit, local McDonald’s Owner-Operators from the Waco and Temple areas will gather Thursday to present a significant contribution to the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Temple. According to a press release, the $12,500 donation is the result of the successful "Share the Love" fundraiser campaign to support families enduring the emotional and financial strain of childhood hospitalization.
The Power of "Share the Love"
The funds were raised through the generosity of Central Texas residents. During the Share the Love event, McDonald's restaurants taking part in the campaign invited guests to add a small donation of $1, $3, or $5 to their orders. On the surface, it may seem like a small donation, but when everyone pitches in, small acts of kindness combine to form a life-changing sum.

Money For the Mission
The money raised will go directly toward the mission of RMHC, which provides a "home away from home" for families whose children are receiving essential medical care at nearby hospitals. By providing lodging, meals, and a supportive community environment, the House ensures that parents can remain just steps away from their child’s bedside during their most difficult moments.
A Heartfelt Celebration
The formal check presentation at the Ronald McDonald House located at 2415 S 47th St in Temple is scheduled for Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 3:00 PM. The event promises to be more than just a financial hand-off; it is a celebration of the families served by the charity. It is also a chance for the kids to meet McDonald’s Icons: Grimace, Birdie, and Hamburglar.
Community Leadership
The event will feature interviews with Waco/Temple McDonald’s Owner-Operators, who spearheaded the campaign, as well as leadership from RMHC of Temple. Families who have directly benefited from the House’s services will be present to share their stories of how this support has impacted their lives.
