Someone Actually Made Us a Texas Pecan Pie Pound Cake!
Remember when we found a recipe for a Texas Pecan Pie Pound Cake from Texas Hill Country? Well, someone upstairs loves us because we received one for the holiday season and I want to brag a little about it. It is National Pecan Day with this cake, after all.
I ate a slice for lunch. I ate a slice for my post-lunch snack. Heck! I'm eating it now!
If you want to make your family collectively drop their jaws on the table this holiday season, this will not fail you.
Recipe:
- 4 sticks of butter
- 4 cups of sugar
- 4 cups of flower (all purpose)
- 8 large eggs
- 8oz. cream cheese
- 2-3 tsp of vanilla flavoring
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 jar of caramel ice cream topping
