4-year-old Layla Garcia and family are grateful for a Christmas miracle that arrived just days ago!

KWTX reports that this little one was diagnosed last November with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome. Layla was in a medically induced coma for the holidays and woke up to Christmas in February!

Layla was a fighter spending 27 days on life support including the Christmas holiday. Doctors watched her get stronger on some days and a little weaker for others, but she overcome incredible odds of just a 5% to 10% chance of survival according to McLane's ECMO Program Coordinator Josh Greer who spoke with KWTX.

Layla was well enough for Santa and his elves to visit the Hospital. She was talking and smiling as she opened her gifts surrounded by her family. The link above includes a video of Layla's visit with Santa.

We wish Layla and her family all the best, and we will continue to pray for her full recovery.
