Temple Woman Arrested After Shooting Husband

A Temple woman has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after she reportedly shot her husband.

51-year-old Janet Diane Grogan allegedly shot her husband, 63-year-old Mitchle Grogan, early Sunday morning. Sheriff’s deputies were called to the couple’s home at 3821 Old Waco Road around 1 a.m. and found Mr. Grogan with a gunshot wound to his hip. He was transported to Scott and White Memorial Hospital for treatment, and Mrs. Grogan was arrested and taken to the Bell County Jail. Her case was taken to the district attorney’s office Monday, where the charges against her were acceptd.
