Early Details Of The Abduction

For those looking for Smith, she is described as 5′4″ tall, 187 pounds, with red hair and hazel eyes, as reported by KWTX. Her alleged kidnapper's name is Barry Van Mersbergen, who is 22 years old.

According to reports, Smith was last seen in the 15700 Block of West U.S. 90 A in Gonzales, Texas. She was wearing what was described as a red Nike hoodie.

Mersbergen is described as 6′2″ tall, 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. KWTX also reports that he goes by Ben. Mersbergen is alleged to be driving a 2012 GMC Terrain with Texas license plate 3RVWG, as reported by DPS.
