Texas is looking to change the fact that they have, what might be, the most expensive gun fees in the country.

According to Fox 4 News, the current state law requires hand gun owners to take a class that will cost between $75 to $100, a $104 license fee to the state, and a $10 fingerprint fee. Then you'll have a $70 dollar renewal fee every five years.

There's a move by Texas lawmakers to make it so there's no fees for Americans, or, more to the point, Texans, for their constitutional right to carry.

The charge to abolish gun fees, or to at least lower them, is being led by Bedford Republican State Rep. Jonathan Strickland. Yes, the same person who authored the open carry measure that is now law in Texas.
