I do not know about you, but grocery shopping is one of my favorite activities and under this Texas summer sunlight, nothing is better than taking a leisurely stroll through the refrigerated or frozen food section of your favorite supermarket.

What popular Texas grocery store will close all of their stores on July 4th?
If part of your upcoming 4th of July plans are to enjoy a long weekend of barbeques and pool parties or boating your favorite waterway, you will definitely need to plan ahead because Costco will be closed on Friday, July 4th.

That means all five Austin area Costcos will be closing on July 3rd, and you will not be able to sneak through the doors again until Saturday the 5th. This will not be the only time you will have to plan ahead for the rest of the year either.
Costco will close all of their Texas locations four more times this year.

- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
Even though one week after Christmas will technically be 2026, Costco will also be closed on New Year's Day too.
