Texas Man Assaults Police Officer with Potato Chips
An Austin man is charged with assaulting two police officers inside an H-E-B store last week. One of the officers was attacked with a giant bag of potato chips.
The incident happened at the Austin H-E-B located at North Lamar and Rundberg according to ValleyCentral.com. The police affidavit states that 30-year-old Tracy Owens and another adult had been asked to leave by H-E-B employees after he was caught riding around the parking lot in the store's electric carts.
The police also asked Ownes to leave when he became angry and struck an officer with a large bag of chips causing it to explode. Police placed him under arrest and when they tried to place him in the back of a squad car, Owens head-butted the second officer.
