An Austin non profit is helping families come together during the COVID-19 outbreak.

According to a press release from Foster Village, one of the ways they're helping families come together is virtually with Zoom Calls.  This gives foster families an opportunity to connect their child with the biological parents.

Caregivers are also given opportunities to connect with each other for support.  The COVID-19 crisis can cause much added stress and this is an outlet to help share resources with each other and ask any questions they might have for one another.  The non-profit also plans on scheduling special guest speakers and group activities.

A facebook group as also been created to help during the pandemic.  This allows foster families to come together with not just those in Texas, but all over the world.

Foster Village is doing their best to help families work their way through the COVID-19 outbreak and is providing some great resources.  More children may end up having to enter foster care during this time according to CASA of Travis County.  Volunteers are very much needed to help as we continue to navigate our way through COVID-19.
