Students in the Bushland independent school district near Amarillo will be randomly drug tested throughout the next school year, KSAT12 reports.

Students participating in football, volleyball, cross country, basketball, wrestling, golf, track, power-lifting, cheerleading, band, choir, theater, UIL Academics, student council, lead council, FCCLA, robotics, VASE, speech and debate, FFA, chess, Ace Club, United Way Youth Council, gaming club, yearbook, Falcon Friends and 4H will require drug testing, according to the policy. So basically everyone in the school.

This news had sparked a lot of conversation across the state, with some calling it ridiculous and others giving full support. Let us know what you think in the comments.

It's not like this is the first school to do drug testing, not even in Texas. The testing starts with students in the 7th grade.

The school has not had a previous drug problem.
