
Texas Teens Now Accused Of Grandmother’s Murder And Theft
Bacliff, Texas is usually a quiet gulf side community in Galveston County, but last week this friendly neighborhood along the Galveston Bay was rocked with news of a local grandmother, Tammy King, who was found dead in her home, and that started a manhunt for her granddaughter and the granddaughter's boyfriend.

According to this KHOU article, two teenagers identified as the granddaughter of King, 17 year old Tara King and her 18 year old boyfriend Uriah Urick, were caught in Laredo following involvement by the Gulf Coast Violent Offender Task Force with the United State's Marshals Service. Police began the search after the boyfriend of Tammy King found her home ransacked and her dead body on Thursday, February 6th.

Investigators believed Tammy King was killed in the early morning hours of February 5th, and the two suspects had a significant head start in their attempts to flee Texas. They are accused of sending multiple digital cash transactions from the grandmother's account into their own, and also removed several guns from the home where they left the woman's naked body.

Several people had interacted with the couple while they were on the run, but it does not seem likely that all of those people knew the teenagers were on the run for the murder in Bacliff. The crime spree thankfully ended quickly with their capture before they were able to flee Texas and the country.
