Saturday night I had the opportunity to hang out at Johnny's Steaks and BBQ for the Lone Star Music Series featuring Stoney Larue.

I had never been to Johnny's before, but I will definitely be back. The venue was fantastic, the people that work there were incredibly helpful when I was setting up and moving equipment to and from the Freedom Blazer. I had a really great experience, and that was before the music got started.

Local boy Kirk Baxley kicked off the party with a mix of covers and original music, before Josh Grider and his crew took over. Josh has a new album out called Luck and Desire and he played tracks off of it including his recent release, One Night Taco Stand. Josh even took time out to take a selfie with me before I introduced him to the growing crowd at Johnny's Outback.

After Josh, I had help bringing on Stoney Larue from 5 year old Callie who as cute she could be and called him "Stoney RaLue."
