Bounds Is A Teacher In Our Community
Bounds is employed by Georgetown ISD, and a previous web post stated that Bounds is a 6th grade Technology Applications teacher and boys' coach.
Georgetown ISD told KXAN that they have placed Bounds on administrative leave pending the investigation.
The school district also wants the community to be aware that allegations against Bounds do not involve any students in Georgetown.
According to CBS Austin, the alleged incident was reported by a 911 caller. No additional details have been provided to identify the caller.
It has been reported that the victim and suspect knew one another.
Facing Major Charges
The Bell County Jail website states that Bounds has been charged with indecency with a child, which is a second-degree felony.
As of Wednesday, September 29, Bounds was still incarcerated with a $100,000 bond.
Further details have not been released, but we will keep the community updated.
When a trusted member of our community is accused of this kind of crime, it is absolutely devastating. Our hearts are with the victim, and we hope the truth shines through.
