The Temple Independent School District has big plans for the upcoming school year.

Over the last year and a half there's been heavy talk regarding COVID-19 and the pandemic. It's been a very stressful time for teachers, students, and parents all around the world. The majority of school districts had to struggle with converting in-person classes to virtual learning, but districts made it happen.

As the world begins to completely open up, Temple ISD is making plans for the 2021 fall semester. The district emailed their plans to staff, teachers, and parents revealing that in-person learning will resume with mask use encouraged for those who aren't vaccinated against COVID-19.

The district will continue to conduct daily screening and self-reporting of symptoms. All guests will be required to undergo a temperature check and screening before being allowed in a school building. The district also plans to continue frequent cleaning and sanitizing of classrooms and rec areas.

Note that masks will not be mandatory, and in-person learning will resume for all students.
