Tortoise Caught On the Run in Hewitt

News 10 is reporting that a large tortoise was on the loose on Wednesday in Hewitt.

A local animal control officer, Douglas, was called to the scene to gently remove the reptile from the area.

The police later reported on their Facebook page that "Tank the Tortoise" was safely returned to his owners

Never a dull day for the animal control officer in Hewitt.
