While the mall in Killeen, Texas may be a relatively safe place to shop on a normal day, Tuesday night was a different story.

A man was shot at the Killeen Mall multiple times according to Killeen Police Department.

Thaddeus Immerman and Laura Dodd from the Killeen Daily Herald report that shots rang out at The Finish Line in the Killeen Mall. According to a news release from Killeen PD, they received a call about the shots around 7:17 PM Tuesday.

If you pay attention to the video below, approximately 10 shots were fired!

The following video shows the perspective of those who were shopping in the store, Pro Image Sports, while in the Killeen Mall.

As you can see, customers were perusing the store when shots rang out:

 

According to Killeen Police Chief Charles Kimble, the victim was airlifted the Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple and was conscious when medical assistance arrived.

No motive has been given yet.

The suspect is a white man, 6 feet tall, who was last seen wearing a black jacket, black sweat pants, a white mask, and a white beanie.

The gunman appears to have been targeting one person, because there are no other injuries to report.

Chief Kimble said that as of 9 PM Tuesday, there were people still sheltering in place at Killeen Mall, and that drones, robots, and dogs had been searching the area for the suspect.
