Two Of Texas Top 10 Sex Offenders Are Now Locked Up

2 of Texas' most notorious sex offenders have both been arrested. (Again.)

What Happened?

Braulio Davida was taken into custody last week, and Joaquin Salgado turned himself in to authorities.

What makes that big news? Well, these two men have been on Texas' Top 10 List For Child Sex Offenders for quite some time.

Braulio Davila's Long Rap Sheet

According to the Texas Department of Public safety‘s website, Braulio Davila was arrested in Mexico back on April 4 and taken into custody in Texas.

Davila's reportedly been wanted since April of last year for failure to register as a sex offender. He was also issued warrants for failing to register in Pecos County.
Davila has a long rap sheet with crimes including sexual assault. In fact, his history of sexual assault goes back to 1993, when he was convicted of attacking a 35-year-old woman and sentenced to four years in prison.

Years later in 2002, he was sentenced to five years in prison in prison for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was also sentenced to 102 months in federal prison and 5 years supervised release for possession of marijuana and intent to deliver. He was also arrested for probation violation in March of 2020 and served a year in prison.

Joaquin Salgado Turned Himself In

The other guy, Joaquin Salgado, just turned himself in on April 6th. He’s been wanted since August of last year. His rap sheet began back in 2018 when he was convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child and sexual assault for incidents involving a 13-year-old and a 22-year-old woman in Texas. He was sentenced to eight years in prison. Less than a year later he was arrested for smuggling migrants and was sentenced to federal prison.

Texans can rest assured that these two criminals have been brought to justice.
