News 10 is reporting that a Central Texas man was shot early Monday morning in Waco.

There are few details being released at the moment, however, police were called to a home in Waco at the intersection of West Waco Drive and 23rd Street a little before 2 a.m.

Police claim to have found multiple bullet casings at the scene.

KWTX said, "An officer at the hospital said the man was taken to Baylor Scott and White Hillcrest Medical Center for treatment for a gunshot wound to his right shin."

The further details of the case remain unknown. Officers do expect the man to survive the shooting incident. However, police would not provide details on any other victims or the shooter.
