
What’s Cookin in Texas? MasterChef Gordan Ramsey Sets Up Shop in Dallas
The exodus out of California, and to Texas, continues as celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is the latest to pack up his kitchen, so to speak, and head to the great state of Texas.

According to a report from the Dallas Morning News, Ramsay has left The Golden State and set up shop in Los Colinas, a community in the Dallas area where his team plans to launch 18 new restaurants in 2022 in some major cities including Boston, Miami and Chicago. Ultimately the plan is to launch 75 new restaurants over the next five years.

CEO Normal Abdallah tells the Dallas Morning News that he will oversee the launch of the new restaurants and that Dallas will eventually open Street Pizza and Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips and Ramsay Kitchen may also get a DFW open after they launch the Boston location.

The report says that the Dallas locations won't be opened till late 2022 or 2023.

Ramsay joins a long list of businesses relocating to Texas from California. KXAN reports that Tesla recently announced plans to move to Austin as have Fortune 500 tech companies Oracle and Hewlett-Packard. There has been close 120 California companies that have relocated to Texas since 2018.
Samsung recently announced plans to make a $17 billion investment with a chip manufacturing plant in Taylor, Texas, just outside of Austin. Space X, Google, Facebook and Canva have all announced plans to add locations in the Austin area.
