10 Best Places To Enjoy Guacamole In Temple, Texas And Belton + Recipe
You don't have to look at me twice to realize when it comes to eating, I probably do not follow any rules. At 6'3 and 260lbs, not only have I never missed a meal, you may safely assume I have helped myself to some other people's meals too. Since Cinco de Mayo is coming up on Friday, wanted to share with you my 10 best places (thus far) to enjoy guacamole in Temple, Texas, and Belton.
What is guacamole?
According to the Encyclopedia Britannica, guacamole is,
"A spread or dip made of <span id="ref1309385"></span><a class="md-crosslink" href="https://www.britannica.com/plant/avocado" data-show-preview="true">avocados</a>."
Why is guacamole so delicious?
It's really not, so please just leave the disposal of it to me. Haha!
The simplest answer is it is made from avocados and salt. There will never be a sweet vs savory debate with me. Even though a combination of sweet and savory is very enjoyable, I will choose savory and savory every time.
Avocados are technically a berry, but do not possess the common sweetness of fruit. They are oily, and taste like mayonnaise mixed with an earthy green similar to spinach. You add some salt, and it's already dipping quality.
When is guacamole best enjoyed?
Well, Cinco de Mayo is great, but so is Seis, Siete, Ocho, you get the point. It is actually way more difficult to get to a Mexican restaurant than it is to enjoy guacamole every day. That is why I have included a very easy, and yummy homemade recipe for you to try.
