10 Most Popular New Year’s Resolutions for 2014
Will this be the year you actually wake up at 5 am to go to the gym?
I'll be the first to admit it. I NEVER have kept a New Year's resolution. (Although, to be fair, I don't usually make them either.) Come December 31st every year, 45% of Americans vow that this will be the year that they will jog every day, eat healthier, quit smoking, and maybe even get married. Although very few of us actually end up sticking with those goals past February, I suppose it's still a good idea to at least try.In fact, studies show that people who make NY resolutions are 10 times more likely to achieve their goals than those wo don't! Below are the 10 most popular New Year's resolutions for 2014. See if your goal made the list!
10) SPEND MORE TIME WITH FAMILY
Because they are the only people who have to accept you, no matter how weird you act around them.
9) FALL IN LOVE
This is definitely the year you are you going to meet the love of your life. And get engaged. And get married.
8) VOLUNTEER
If Katniss can volunteer as tribute, you can at least vow to pour some soup once a month.
7) QUIT SMOKING
Better breath. Whiter teeth. And oh yeah, you'll live longer.
6) LEARN SOMETHING NEW
...besides the fact that you can watch approximately 12 episodes of PLL on Netflix in one day.
5) EAT HEALTHIER/ EXERCISE
This is how I like to picture myself running. (I've been told I look alot more like Napolean Dynamite when I run. I wish I was kidding.)
4) LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST
My dancing skills are similar to my running skills. Too bad I could care less.
3) GET A NEW JOB
Because if you have to sit at that cubicle for one more minute, you cannot be held responsible for your actions.
2) SPEND LESS MONEY/ SAVE MORE
Ever since I was a kid I wanted to have a money pool to dive into like Scrooge McDuck. I'm pretty sure I'm just a few Ramen Noodle dinners away from the dream. Now if I could only transfer all my assets into gold coins.
1) LOSE WEIGHT
This would be alot easier if there was no such thing as Dr Pepper or Nutella...
