Baytown Racetrack Becomes Graveyard for Cars Lost in Hurricane Harvey
Check out this drone footage from KCENTV of Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown outside of Houston.
It's amazing how many cars got washed away by Hurricane Harvey. One of the places they are being stored is this racetrack. It's one of many facilities that have been converted to house endless rows of cars waiting to be re-sold.
The race season is set to resume at Royal Purple Raceway in April. The last of the cars are expected to be sold and removed from the raceway in March of 2018.
A Dallas company called Copart rents the space from the speedway and a crew of workers has the tall task of separating all these cars according to which insurance company the claim belongs to. Yikes!
