The family continues on the gofundme explaining that even though they have insurance to cover the loss of their belongings the avenue of recovery through the insurance company is very difficult to navigate. They are hoping to raise $50,000 to help them begin the rebuilding process moving forward.

The money that would be donated will be used to help the family find lodging and replace the basic necessities of life.
