With Fort Hood being such a huge part of our community, we love highlight and thanking those serving their country in the Army whenever we get the chance. It's also great to show some love to Central Texans serving in other branches and doing their part to protect and preserve our way of life.

The Navy Office of Community Outreach was kind enough to share with us this photo of Belton native and U.S. Navy Master-at-Arms Seaman Apprentice Kade LeBlanc.

In the photo above, snapped on Tuesday, February 4, LeBlanc is seen securing a line during a towing evaluation as part of a small boat probe and attack drill at Naval Weapons Station Yorktown. He's participating in Exercise Citadel Shield-Solid Curtain - a nationwide anti-terrorism exercise taking place until Valentine's Day. The exercise is designed to ensure the readiness of fleet and installation security programs in the event of an attack.

We want to express our sincere thanks to LeBlanc for his service, as well as his family and every American out there working to defend the homeland. We only get to take to these airwaves and speak our minds because of your dedication and sacrifices.
