Block Party For the Homeless in Killeen Set For Saturday

A block party is planned to happen in north Killeen on Saturday to help out the homeless population.

The Killeen Daily Herald's Thaddeus Imerman reports that the event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will take place on Sprott between Eighth Street and 10th street. The block party is being thrown as part of an effort to benefit homeless and less fortunate people in our community. Vendors will be on the scene to help out.

Our very own My Kiss 103.1 FM radio will be on hand as well to help spread the word about the event.

Phyllis does so much advocacy work in the Central Texas community, and hosts a weekly public affairs show on our sister station, My Kiss 1031. (FYI, there's also a voter registration drive happening on Rancier Saturday.)

Homelessness and economic hardship were already a part of our community before COVID-19, but thanks to the pandemic times are tougher than they've been in a long time. If you or someone you know could use some help from the services that will be at this event, please plan to attend.
