Central Texas Raises Awareness During Veterans Suicide Month
If you or anyone you know is struggling with suicidal thoughts, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is a resource that is offering help right now at 1-800-273-8255.
Everyday 22 American Veterans take their own lives.
A group who is here to help our Veterans is the Heart of Texas Veterans One Stop. The group released 22 balloons yesterday in a gathering to remember the number of Veterans who commit suicide every day in America. It is such a heartbreaking statistic.
Members of Veterans One Stop told KCENTV they plan to hold the Balloon Release each September alongside members of the Military and their families. Over 50 people attended the event on Wednesday.
