News 10 is reporting that Central Texas shoppers went out in droves to land the best Black Friday deals over the weekend.

First-time buyers like Kiana Elmore took to the stores of Central Texas in search of items at discounted prices.

"Umm, I don't know. I was just like, let's do this. Let's just go out and see what the fuss is about," said Elmore

TVs were the top prize at most electronic stores. This is the case for most years as stores usually drop the prices way down on electronics.

"Good deals, good prices. Enjoyed the day. Got stuff for ourselves, a TV, got some stuff for our son, that's about it," Gary and Cherri Gound said.

Shoppers also commented on how everyone felt safe shopping this year.

"Stuff was more organized. Wasn't nearly as crazy or dangerous. I didn't have any issues. Nobody was pushing or shoving or anything," Caitlin Baigent said.

If you missed your chance to shop on Black Friday, Cyber Monday starts today!
