Central Texas Traffic Stop Turns Into Drug Bust
News 10 is reporting that Marlin Police made a local traffic stop that turned into a drug bust over the weekend.
Saturday Afternoon, a Marlin Police Officer pulled over a car for speeding. The officer conducting the traffic stop said he smelled a strong odor are a marijuana. This prompted a search of the entire vehicle.
"Officers searched the vehicle and said they found one pound and 2.9 ounces of marijuana, 169 grams of Xanax, 95 grams of Hydrocodone along with over $2,300 in cash," KWTX's Ke'Sha Lopez wrote. "The suspect was booked into the Falls County Jail and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Marijuana, and two counts of Possession of Controlled Substance."
The officer found a loaded handgun with an extra magazine in the vehicle as well.
