Police in Copperas Cove are investigating after two convenience stores were robbed at gunpoint within the span of twelve minutes.

The first robbery occurred at the 7-Eleven at 2124 E Hwy 190 around 10:48 PM. The second took place at the Mickey's Convenience Store at 1306 Georgetown Road around 11:00 PM.

In both cases, employees told police that a man entered the store with a gun, demanded money, then fled on foot.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect was described as a black man of slender build, standing approximately 6'00", and wearing a black ski mask, black windbreaker, black pants, black shoes, black gloves, and carrying a black backpack.
