Some of us have either owned or used to have a pet in our lives. For some, dogs are our best friend. Other prefer cats as a companion.  Either way, we'd be devastated if we lost them. As it turns out, someone in Copperas Cove owns a pet tortoise, and he must have gotten into a race with a hare because he disappeared from his owners for a while.

The Disappearance Of The Tortoise

Copperas Cove police sent out an all points bulletin for the missing tortoise on Facebook:

As you can see, he's very agile. Shortly after the post of the missing pet, Law enforcement was able to find the owner of our Tortoise friend and he was returned home without any further problems. But there's still questions about how this animal got away isn't there?

One Main Question

Simply put, how did this young tortoise escape and nobody see this tortoise leave? We make jokes here, but turtles and tortoises are pretty sure, unless in water of course. Thankfully officers were able to locate the owner before the tortoise ended up walking all the way to Fort Hood right?

So long story short, this is a reminder to make sure fences and doors are both locked and made so our pets can't get out. Otherwise some dogs and cats might have a turtle friend joining them on their fantastic journey.
