Cowboy’s Ezekiel Elliot And Other Players Test Positive For COVID-19
Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliot and several other Cowboy players have tested positive for COVID-19, according to Elliot's agent.
As reported by the NFL Network, several Cowboys and Houston Texans football players have tested positive for COVID-19.
Elliot's agent stated the star running back was feeling fine, but due to privacy concerns did not release more information about his condition.
"Due to federal and local privacy laws, we are unable to provide information regarding the personal health of any of our employees," the Cowboys said in a statement obtained by NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport and NFL Network's Tom Pelissero Monday.
The players that tested positive for coronavirus are believed to have not been to the organization's facilities. Commissioner Roger Goodell has reportedly issued a memo detailing protocols he wants in place as players begin to return that are meant to slow the spread of the virus and keep players and staff healthy.
Dr. Allen Sills, the NFLs chief medical officer predicted the the virus would hit players.
"We fully expect we will have positive cases that will arise," Sills said in May.
This really sucks! It makes me wonder how there can even be a season this fall. I'm not sure how that can happen unless somehow a vaccine is developed sooner than later. I hope all the players that have the virus will be okay.
