Cowboys Win Big In Opener
How bout them, Cowboys?!
The Dallas Cowboys opened their 2019 season with a dominate 35-17 win over the New York Giants.
The offense shined with fourth-year quarterback Dak Prescott looking as good as ever, completing 78% of his passes for 405 yards. He spread the ball around with two different tight ends and two different receivers scoring touchdowns.
Amari Cooper returned as he left off, grabbing the ball six times for 106 yards and a score. In his first year as a Cowboy, Randall Cobb scored on one of his four catches and Michael Gallup had a huge game with 158 yards on six catches.
One of the highlights was 2012 man of the year winner Jason Witten scoring a touchdown after coming out of a year of retirement.
The defense looked solid holding the Giants to just ten before what I consider a garbage time score nearing the end of the game. But they still managed to give up 470 yards of total offense.
It's always nice to have a football weekend with a win. I'm also a Texas Longhorns fan, so if Dallas had lost too... yikes... yeah I don't want to think about that.
