UPDATE: at 9:43 AM, TxDOT's Jodi Wheatley reported that the scene of the collision had been cleared and traffic was moving normally through Troy.

Traffic along southbound Interstate 35 in Troy was a backing up traffic for at least 4 miles Thursday morning after a truck collision.

The crash occurred near Mile Marker 308 and the intersection of Main Street in Troy and I-35. The collision was blocking the right southbound lane,
resulting in traffic being held up past Big Elm Rd.

At the time of this article's publication, emergency crews were on the scene and beginning cleanup. TxDOT's Jodi Wheatley estimated a cleanup time of 1-2 hours, but that is subject to change depending on conditions.

We would advise drivers intending to head south through Troy along I-35 to detour to an alternate route, such as TX-317.
