Flash Flood Watch Begins This Afternoon for Bell County

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for Bell County and Central Texas in effect from 2pm this afternoon until Tuesday morning.

Showers and Thunderstorms will be possible in central Texas this afternoon and this evening bringing about the risk for flash flooding. The National Weather Service reports anywhere from 1 to 3 inches of rain possible in some locations inside the watch area.

A Flash Flood Watch means conditions are favorable for heavy amounts of rain that may cause flash flooding. Stay weather aware throughout the afternoon and evening, and remember you can track the progress of these storms along with our weather partners at KWTX in the Doppler Ten forecast center.
