How's your swing?

Whether you're an avid golfer or someone who just likes to hit the green once in a while to relax, you can be a part of a local tournament coming up to benefit Central Texas kids.

Keep Copperas Cove Beautiful (KCCB) is hosting its inaugural Scholarship Golf Tournament Friday, August 20 at the Hills of Cove Golf Course, 1408 Golf Course Road.

It'll be a fantastic day of friendly competition to provide scholarships for Copperas Cove ISD seniors. If you remember your college days or are putting your kids through college right now, you know the costs of tuition, books, and food can really add up. Every little bit helps!

The tournament will be a two-player scramble, and it's only $65 per person. That'll get you and your buddy a round of golf with a shared cart, a continental breakfast, range balls, a swag bag, and lunch. There'll be door prizes and trophies up for grabs too.

Check-in will be from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM, with a shotgun start at 10:00 AM.

You've got options when it comes to signing up. You can call (254) 547-4221 Ext. 6704, get signed up at kccbgolf.com, or mail a check or money order along with this sign-up sheet to KCCB, P.O. Box 1449, Copperas Cove, TX 76522. You can also sign up in person at the Hills of Cove Golf Course.

Whatever you do, you'll want to make sure you're registered by August 18.

If you're with a local business or organization that wants to get involved, they've also got sponsorship opportunities. It's a great chance to get eyes on your brand while contributing to a worthy cause.

To everyone who signs up, best of luck!
