Former Corsicana ISD Coach Charged with Improper Relations with Students
News 10 is reporting that a local Corsicana Independent School District coach was booked on Saturday for having improper relationships with multiple students.
Jackie Ray Grace Jr., 39, was arrested Saturday morning by Corsicana ISD Police.
According to jail records, grace was booked at the Navarro County Jail and charged with 3 counts of improper relationship between educator/student.
KWTX said, "Grace was employed by Corsicana ISD from 2011-2016 then left to pursue another job opportunity, according to district officials who say they were unaware of the allegations until they were notified two weeks ago and then reported it to law enforcement."
Records show that Grace remained in jail on Saturday evening.
“Student safety is the highest priority of Corsicana ISD, and any allegation of impropriety is cause for serious concern,” Susan Johnson, Executive Director of Communications at CISD, said in a released statement. “Corsicana ISD will continue to work with authorities in the ongoing investigation.”
According to KWTX sources, the incidents occurred while Grace was a girls softball and cross country coach at Corsicana High School.
