Fort Hood Reports 1 Person has Died During a Medevac Training Exercise
The Fort Hood Press Center is reporting a fatality as part of a medevac training exercise Tuesday evening on Fort Hood.
The accident happened on the Fort Hood Range south of Robert Gray Army Airfield Tuesday evening. The soldiers training at the time of the accident came from the 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley, Kansas.
KWTX reports the accident involved an HH-60 Blackhawk helicopter. The helicopter crew was practicing medical evacuation hoist training last night. The accident happened around 10:30 pm.
An investigation of the incident continued Wednesday.
