Free Emergency Food Boxes for Central Texans in Need
The Central Texas Food Bank will distribute free food boxes in Waco and Temple this month.
According to a press release from the Central Texas Food Bank, free food distributions will be given to residents in McLennan and Bell county to help counter effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Residents of McLennan county can pick up these emergency food boxes at the Waco ISD Stadium from 9 AM to 12 PM on Tuesday, April 14.
If you are a resident of Bell County, emergency food boxes will be available for pick-up at the Temple American Legion from 9 AM to 12 PM on Thursday, April 23.
To maintain safe social distancing practices, the Central Texas Food Bank has organized a drive-through and no walk-ups will be allowed. Each vehicle will receive two boxes, which combined will equal 48 pounds of food. One box will contain pantry items, and inside the other an assortment of frozen food.
It is vital that only those truly in need visit the mobile food bank due to limited resources.
