It's been a big year for George Strait, the undisputed King of Country and Poteet, Texas native.

Back on May 18, his 69th birthday, King George made an announcement that brightened everyone's year: he'll be returning to the stage at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in the spring of 2022.

It'll be Rodeo Houston's 90th anniversary, and it's only fitting that the big star of the show be the man who has shattered one attendance record after another since first performing there in 1984.

George will do what he does best on Sunday, March 20 2022.

In case you forgot to mark your calendar or set a reminder in your phone, here's what's up: individual tickets for what's sure to be another legendary performance go on sale Thursday, June 24 at 10 AM. You can check into an online waiting room that day at 9:30 AM.

There'll be a limit of four tickets per person because, well, let's face it - this is THE big ticket going into next year!

A wait list for season tickets will start on Tuesday, August 3rd.

The Rodeo Houston tickets page has pricing details and maps to help you figure out what's in your budget and where you'll want to get great seats.

Of course, there's really not a bad seat in the house when an icon takes the stage, but if you can get up close and personal, there's no telling what kind of memories you can make!

Did you see the promo video above? It features short clips of George at the rodeo over the years, and it's crazy to see how young he looked then and how full of live he still is. The crowds still go wild when he takes the stage, and hopefully you and I can be there next spring.
