Harker Heights Woman Found Dead in Burned House

A Harker Heights woman was discovered dead in a home on Harley Drive Saturday following a fire.

KWTX's Tianna Jenkins reports that firefighters responded to the 1700 block of Harley around 11:20 AM Saturday and quickly extinguished the fire. They were told someone might still be in the home, and found the woman inside.

She was pronounced dead at 12:49 PM.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and the identity of the woman has yet to be released.
