Heart Of Texas Goodwill Job Fair In Killeen January 31st

Grace Christian Center will host the Heart of Texas Goodwill Job Fair on Tuesday January 31st.

Central Texas employers are looking for talented individuals who are ready to work. Industries on site that day will include retail, warehouse, and government agencies. This is a great opportunity to speak with several hiring managers ready to set-up one-on-one interviews.

Shannon Kedrick-Wittmer is the Heart of Texas Goodwill VP of Mission and Workforce Advancement and says, "In 2016, Goodwill hosted 4 large job fairs, 2 in Waco and 2 in the Belton/Killeen area. These job fairs featured 10-15 employers at each event and welcomed hundreds of job seekers, many whom walked away with a new job”. She says they are expecting close to 180 applicants.

Wittmer says that Goodwill has the community to thank because its the donations they receive that allow for job fairs like this one to be scheduled. These events are funded by the sale of donated items inside Goodwill retail stores.
