How to Join Temple’s Virtual City Council Meeting
These days, many of us are trying to keep our distance for the sake of those most vulnerable to the worst effects of the COVID-19 virus, as well as our healthcare workers. Thankfully, there are still ways we can participate in our communities, including city council meetings.
The Temple City Council will hold its April 2nd meeting virtually, and you're invited to join from the comfort and safety of your home either online or via phone.
To join online, just get registered here if you're not already. You can register with your email, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, or Google account. When you join the meeting, there'll be a Raise Your Hand feature you can use if you'd like to speak or ask a question.
To call in, call one of the numbers below:
(415) 594-7873
(805) 309-5909
(415) 926-7799
Toll-free: (866) 616-7487
Then enter Conference ID 2882241 and User ID 430.
If you plan to call in and you'd like to speak, you need to send an email to publichearing@templetx.gov and include your name and address for the record.
You can send your email today if you like. Just make sure you get it in no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of Thursday's meeting, during which you'll be called upon to speak.
Sure it's a bit of a rigmarole, but it's worth it if you want to participate in the meeting and bring up any questions or concerns.
