Iconic Boot Shop in Downtown Killeen, Texas Goes on the Auction Block
Tharpe’s Boot & Shoe Repair opened right here in Killeen, Texas in 1954 and has been serving the Central Texas area for over 80 years. Sadly, they closed their doors in February Now the building is going on the auction block.
If you got the money, this is a great opportunity to own a building in the historic district of Downtown Killeen.

The sign on the door reads:

Located at 421 North Gray Street, Tharpe’s has been a staple in downtown Killeen for many decades. Our news partners at KWTX reported on their closing in February this year.
Now the building, and the items in it, will go up for auction.

The Killeen Daily Herald reports that the auction will take place on August 25 both on-site and online at auctionnetwork.com.
The building itself is a single-story unit with one bathroom and is approximately 2,125 square feet. Some of the “antique contents” also up for auction include a motorized bicycle.
Trade equipment, antiques and furnishings will also be available to bid on plus, a 1990s Coca-Cola vending machine. Check it out.

A public inspection will be held on August 5 and 12 from 11a to 12p.
