Is a 4th Stimulus Check on The Way for Temple & Killeen, Texas Families?
There's talk of a fourth stimulus check, and as tempting as that would be, is it the right move?
A Fourth Stimulus Check Would Be Nice, But...
Surely if the government decides to issue a fourth stimulus check, none of the working families in the U.S. would complain. Truth is, lots of Temple and Killeen families could use the additional income to help pay bills and buy groceries.
There are lawmakers that want a fourth payment. CBS News reports that some Americans are even hoping for recurring payments, but that seems unlikely according to MARCA. However, they do note that each state's government offers different relief programs aimed at helping families in need.
"The World Is Your Oyster"
According to a report from KWTX, Rob Tennant, a Texas A&M Central Texas Economics Professor, says that the Biden administrations infrastructure bill is starting to "spark for economic growth" by getting people back to work.
Tennant also notes that the best way for low-income families to rebound is to find better paying jobs.
“If you’re in a job that’s not paying very well, I’d recommend looking for a job that pays better because it’s so difficult to find employees right now, that if you’re a good worker and you’re healthy, the world is your oyster,” he said.
Makes sense, right? The better paying job you have, the less financial burden you may have to deal with. A simple Google search for jobs in Killeen and Temple will give you links to follow and show you a list of high paying jobs right here in Central Texas.
Time To Take A Chance On Yourself
So if a fourth stimulus payment looks unlikely, perhaps all you really need is a better paying job.
