Killeen ISD Cracking Down on Staff Harassment with Updated Code of Conduct
Ready or not, the 2021-21 school year is getting closer and closer, and with it comes some changes to expectations for student conduct at KISD.
As we approach the 2021-22 school year, we have some school news to report. You may have read that Belton ISD will offer free meals to students all year long. Well that is also the case with Killeen ISD. They'll also be offering free physicals to students on Thursday, July 29 from 4:30-8:30p.
Lauren Dodd with the Killeen Daily Herald reports that KISD has also revised their student code of conduct for 2021-22, with the board of trustees signing off with approval.
Some of the revisions include a revised definition of 'harassment' and penalties for violations and a revised definition for tobacco products to include e-cigarettes plus a few more changes.
The Texas Education Code requires all school districts to have a Student Code of Conduct and the Killeen ISD board of trustees approved the revisions 5-0.
