A Killeen man was arrested Sunday after firing a gun into the air and causing South by Southwest celebrants to panic.

Police say 22-year-old Rondarius Taron Spicer fired a gun into the air near the intersection of Sixth and Trinity in Austin early Sunday morning. The shooting occurred near Old School Bar & Grill, where a crowd was gathered to hear a local band perform.

Spicer was was arrested in the 400 block of E Seventh St around 1:55 AM and booked into the Travis County Jail at 4:59 AM. Spicer was initially booked on a misdemeanor weapons charge, but now faces a felony charge of Deadly Conduct Discharge Firearm at Individuals.

No injuries were reported.

This marks the second time in two years that a Killeen citizen has been involved in a violent incident at SXSW. In March of 2014, Rashad Owens drove into a crowd while intoxicated, killing four people and injuring several others. He was was convicted of capital murder in November of 2015.
