31-year-old Robert Alexander Dubose of Killeen is in the Bell County Jail after threatening to kill a judge and spitting on a police officer.

The incident occurred May 1 in the court of Justice of the Peace Garland Potvin. Dubose was in court to face a charge of unlawfully carrying a weapon. Police say that, during his arraignment, Dubose threatened to kill Potvin and spat at an officer as he was being taken to jail.

Dubose now faces charges of making a terrorist threat impairing a public servant and harassment of a public servant. He had been sent to the Austin State Hospital for evaluation before being brought back to Bell County to face the charges.
