Killeen Neighborhoods Under Boil Notice Beginning October 7

If you live in any of these Killeen neighborhoods, you'll be without water from 7 AM to 3 PM Wednesday as crews work to replace a fire hydrant.

The following areas will be under a boil water advisory from 7 AM on Oct. 7 until further notice:

1301 to 1411 Flynn Street
4302 Zephyr Road
902 S. 4th Street
901 6th Street
111, 201, 202 & 209 E. Bryce Avenue
112 to 809 Collins Avenue
809 & 901 Trimmier Road

According to a City of Killeen press release, residents in the are will be notified when the boil order is lifted. Anyone with questions may call the Water and Sewer Services Department at 501-6319.

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and for making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to consumption.  The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes.  In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source.
