Killeen Pedestrian Killed While Crossing Street
Killeen police are investigating a fatal accident involving a pedestrian Friday night.
Police were called the 1300 block of South Fort Hood St. shortly before 10 p.m. When they arrived, they found 65-year-old Bahri Greci lying in the road. Greci was airlifted to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple with severe injuries and was pronounced dead at 12:20 a.m. Saturday.
A preliminary investigating indicates that Greci was attempting to cross Fort Hood Street from the west to the east side when a southbound 2011 Mazda 6 struck him. The Killeen PD Traffic Unit was still investigating the crash Saturday afternoon.
